AIK tried to make changes in the second half with a substitution, bringing in Miran Burgic to replace Clecio Nascimento Santos. However, this did not prevent Göteborg from extending their lead. Thomas Olsson scored his second goal of the match, and shortly afterward, it was Robin Söder's turn to score for the team.

A substitution for Göteborg saw Gustav Svensson come on for Robin Söder. AIK replaced Martin Kayongo-Mutumba with Viktor Lundberg, but things did not get any better for AIK. Elmar Bjarnason sealed the match for Göteborg by scoring a fourth goal.

Göteborg made a final substitution, bringing in Nicklas Bärkroth instead of Pär Eriksson. AIK's Nils-Eric Johansson received a yellow card, as did Miran Burgic, who was cautioned in the last minute of the match.
