Trelleborgs FF hosted GAIS at Vångavallen in an important Allsvenskan match on Saturday afternoon, with an attendance of 2009 spectators. Referee Magnus Ahlsén, alongside assistant referees Magnus Sjöblom and Joakim Flink, officiated the match for 90 minutes.

The match started at an even pace, with both teams showing good running spirit. It wasn't until the 44th minute that the first yellow card was issued, which went to GAIS's Tommy Lycén.

The second half began with a blow for GAIS, as Trelleborg's Jonathan Asp scored 1-0 just two minutes into the half, in the 48th minute. Unfortunately for Asp, he received a yellow card immediately after the goal for excessive celebration.

Not long after the first goal, Trelleborg extended their lead through Mattias Adelstam, who scored 2-0 in the 53rd minute. GAIS then received a yellow card for Richard Ntomba Ekunde right after the goal.

GAIS made two substitutions during the match, bringing on Aram Khalili in the 55th minute and Romario Pereira Sipiao in the 66th minute.

Trelleborg made their first two substitutions in the 70th and 74th minutes, with Joakim Sjöhage and Marcus Pode coming on respectively. GAIS made their final substitution in the 77th minute, with Kyle Patterson coming on for Joel Anell.

Unfortunately for Trelleborg, their coach Tom Prahl received a red card after a violent protest against the referee in the 89th minute.

The match ended 2-0 in favor of Trelleborgs FF after two early goals in the second half. GAIS had their chances but failed to create any truly dangerous opportunities in front of the Trelleborg goal. It was a well-played match, but Trelleborg was simply better today.
