IFK Göteborg continues to impress at Gamla Ullevi. In Sunday's match, they faced Kalmar FF and it was the home team that took control from the start. Just eleven minutes in, Hannes Stiller scored 1-0 for IFK Göteborg.
Kalmar tried to get into the match and create chances, but it was instead Göteborg who struck again. Tobias Hysén scored both 2-0 and 3-0 for the home team before halftime.
In the second half, Kalmar made three substitutions and tried to turn the match around, but it was still Göteborg who maintained control. Hjálmar Jónsson was substituted in and Stefan Selakovic out for IFK Göteborg, and a few minutes later Johan Bertilsson from Kalmar received a yellow card.
Kalmar continued to fight and reduced the score to 3-1 with a goal from Douglas da Silva Vieira, but it wasn’t enough to threaten Göteborg, who held on for a secure victory.
The crowd at Gamla Ullevi left satisfied on a lovely summer evening with a 3-1 win for the home team. Martin Hansson was the main referee, with Henrik Andrén and Stefan Wittberg as assistant referees.
