IFK Göteborg won Sunday’s match against AIK at Råsunda with a score of 2-1 after an early goal and a later scoring flurry. Elmar Bjarnason celebrated his sixth goal of the season when he scored to make it 1-0 in the seventh minute. AIK pressed hard but couldn’t put the ball in the net during the first half.

In the second half, AIK continued to fight, but IFK Göteborg held their ground, despite receiving two warnings for the team. AIK made their first substitutions and later brought on Dulee Johnson, but it wasn’t until the 78th minute that Nicklas Bärkroth was able to extend IFK Göteborg's lead.

AIK didn't give up, and Mohamed Bangura reduced the score to 1-2 in the 90th minute, but it was too late to salvage a point. IFK Göteborg took away three points and climbed to seventh place in the table, while AIK remained in fourteenth place. Referee Martin Hansson and his assistants Fredrik Nilsson and Daniel Wärnmark oversaw the match in front of 12,465 spectators.
