IF Brommapojkarna - IF Elfsborg (2 - 2)
Match in Allsvenskan 2010
Match start: 2010-09-26 at 15:00
Venue: Grimsta IP 1
Attendance: 1,328
On Sunday afternoon, IF Brommapojkarna faced IF Elfsborg at Grimsta IP 1 in front of 1,328 spectators. The pre-match favorites were, of course, the visiting Elfsborg, who were in fourth place in the table, while the home team Brommapojkarna sat at the bottom.
The match started with an early goal from Elfsborg's Jon Jönsson in the sixth minute. However, in the 43rd minute, Brommapojkarna equalized with a header from Sinan Ayranci.
In the second half, Pontus Segerström made sure that Brommapojkarna took the lead with a penalty goal in the 65th minute. The visitors, however, managed to equalize again thanks to Niklas Hult in the 78th minute.
The match featured several nerve-wracking moments, including a red card for Elfsborg's Martin Andersson in the 90th minute. Despite both Brommapojkarna and Elfsborg doing everything they could to secure a win, the match ended 2-2.
Referee Daniel Stålhammar maintained good control of the match and was assisted by Peter Vesterholm and Tobias Langkow. Yellow cards were issued to Sinan Ayranci from Brommapojkarna and Mathias Florén from Elfsborg.
A draw may not have been what either the home or away team had hoped for, but at least it meant that neither of them left with a loss.
