Helsingborgs IF achieved a dramatic victory in a fierce battle at Råsunda against the home team AIK, winning 3-2 in Allsvenskan. AIK started very strong, and Mohamed Bangura found the net already after 18 minutes of play, making it 1-0 for AIK.
AIK continued to press and created several chances, but Helsingborgs IF held firm, and after 44 minutes of play, the equalizer came. Erik Sundin scored 1-1 for the visiting team, taking a point into halftime.

Despite this, Helsingborgs IF wanted it more than AIK, and Christoffer Andersson scored a fine volley to make it 3-2 in the 81st minute. AIK desperately tried to equalize, but it wasn’t meant to be, and Helsingborgs IF managed to hold on and take an important three points back home to Skåne.
Referee Michael Lerjéus had full control of the match and kept things relatively clean on the field. The attendance was 8,078 spectators, and the match lasted 90 minutes at the well-attended Råsunda arena in Stockholm.
