Malmö FF showcased why they lead the Allsvenskan when they won 3-0 away against Trelleborgs FF on Sunday evening. The match was held at Vångavallen in front of an audience of 9,049 and was officiated by Martin Hansson, assisted by Henrik Andrén and Magnus Sjöblom.
Malmö started off the strongest, and it didn't take long before they took the lead. After 27 minutes, Jiloan Mohamed Hamad slotted the ball into the net, and Malmö was ahead 1-0.
Trelleborgs tried to fight back but struggled to create dangerous chances. After 67 minutes, they brought on Yousef Fakhro in hopes of scoring an equalizer, but things didn't improve much.
Instead, it was Malmö who extended their lead when Daniel Larsson converted a penalty in the 80th minute. Trelleborgs kept fighting, but Malmö was the better team.
Malmö improved further when they substituted in Dardan Rexhepi and Jeffrey Aubynn, and it was the latter who put the final nail in the coffin by assisting Guillermo Federico Molins Palmeiro in the 90th minute, making it 3-0 for Malmö.
After the match, Trelleborgs remained in 12th place in the table, while Malmö continues to lead the standings.
