Despite trailing 2-3, Djurgården continued to press, and in the 73rd minute, Petter Gustafsson scored to equalize at 3-3. But IF Elfsborg did not give up, and just two minutes later, Denni Avdic scored for IF Elfsborg - 3-4.

IF Elfsborg substituted Stefan Ishizaki for Johan Larsson in the 85th minute, and Djurgården desperately tried to find a way back. Sebastian Rajalakso from Djurgården received a yellow card in the 86th minute, but that did not stop Chibuike Kennedy Igboananike from scoring his second goal and equalizing at 4-4 right at the end of the match.

It was a dramatic match where both teams fought hard for points. Djurgården and IF Elfsborg shared the points, and the table positions remained unchanged before the match - Djurgården stayed in 8th place and IF Elfsborg in 4th.
