The match started with a lot of pressure from AIK, who created several dangerous chances. After 37 minutes, AIK's Kenny Pavey received a yellow card for a foul tackle. After 50 minutes, Mohamed Bangura scored a beautiful header from a corner, giving AIK a 1-0 lead.
