A sunny Gamla Ullevi hosted today's match between GAIS and Trelleborgs FF. With an audience of over 6,000 people, there were high expectations for the teams. The referee trio of Martin Strömbergsson, Henrik Bogdan, and Tobias Wärn maintained control of the game from the first to the last minute.

The match started with hard play, and it didn't take long before GAIS received their first warning, when Reuben Ayarna went in a bit too hard in a duel. However, it was GAIS who would take the lead when Alvaro Santos scored 1-0 in the fifteenth minute. A nice pass from Wanderson Do Carmo Carneiro gave Santos the opportunity to put the ball past the Trelleborg goalkeeper.

GAIS continued to push forward, and it wouldn't be long before Santos could score his second goal of the day. Another assist from Do Carmo Carneiro led to a goal that made it 2-0 for GAIS in the 29th minute. Trelleborg tried to fight their way back into the match with a substitution in the 20th minute when Mattias Adelstam came on for Kristian Haynes, but GAIS continued to dominate.

The second half began similarly to the first, with hard play from both teams. However, it was GAIS that would find a way to break through Trelleborg’s defense again. In the 59th minute, Mervan Celik scored GAIS's third goal, with yet another assist from Do Carmo Carneiro.

GAIS made two substitutions in quick succession when Jesper Florén came on for Eric Magloire Bassombeng and Jonas Lindberg replaced Celik. Trelleborg responded with a substitution in the 68th minute when Andréas Grahm came on for Erdin Demir.

GAIS received another warning in the 70th minute when Jimmy Tamandi accidentally tackled an opponent. Trelleborg still tried to play with a high tempo but were forced to make several substitutions to bring on fresh legs. In the 75th minute, Thiago Pinto Borges came on for Joakim Nilsson Ingves.

As time was running out for Trelleborg, it was GAIS who increased their tempo and pressed for a fourth goal. In the 90th minute, GAIS did just that when Do Carmo Carneiro struck the ball into the net, ensuring a clean sheet against Trelleborg. The match ended 4-0 in favor of GAIS, and on the day, Do Carmo Carneiro was the standout star with three assists and one goal.
