Gefle IF FF won an impressive home victory at Strömvallen today, defeating IFK Norrköping FK 2-0 in Allsvenskan. The home fans, numbering 5,139, had something to celebrate early when Daniel Theorin scored 1-0 from a very nice free kick in the eleventh minute. Theorin had a spot just outside the penalty area to aim at and placed the ball in the right corner—out of reach for the goalkeeper.

Gefle IF FF then managed to hold off an IFK Norrköping FK side that tried to apply pressure during the first half, but they were unable to create any dangerous chances. Instead, it was a fairly even match where Gefle IF FF kept good control over the visitors from Norrköping.

After an hour of play, the home team made a substitution, with Marcus Hansson coming on for Abdulai Zakaria. This change would prove to be beneficial, as Hansson was involved in the 2-0 goal later in the match.

IFK Norrköping FK, however, attempted to work their way back into the match and made two substitutions in the second half. But Gefle IF FF maintained their lead thanks to a strong defense and even managed to score 2-0 on a counterattack with just a few minutes left to play. Hans Berggren scored the decisive goal after a fine assist from Jonas Lantto in the 88th minute.

Gefle IF FF completed the match with a substitution as Suad Gruda came on for Yussif Alhassan Chibsah in the closing minutes. The final score was 2-0 in favor of Gefle IF FF, and their fans could leave Strömvallen satisfied with three points in their pocket. Referee Martin Hansson and his assistant referees, Daniel Wärnmark and Jan-Erik Swärdh, did a good job of keeping track of the match.
