It was a wonderful Sunday afternoon at Guldfågeln Arena when Kalmar FF faced Syrianska FC in the sixth round of Allsvenskan. After a goalless first half, Kalmar scored their first goal in the 83rd minute and secured three points with a second goal in stoppage time.
The match began with an early substitution for Kalmar as Tobias Eriksson replaced Daniel Lopes Silva after just eleven minutes. Kristoffer Fagercrantz also received an early yellow card for the home team in the 33rd minute.
Syrianska FC tried to respond, but both Ivan Ristic and Yussuf Saleh received yellow cards during the match. Saleh was later substituted for Nahir Oyal in the 55th minute.
In the 65th minute, Johan Arneng received his second yellow card for Syrianska FC and was sent off, forcing the coach to bring in Obie Etie Ikechukwu to strengthen the team.
But it was the home team that would have the final word. Daniel Freire Mendes scored Kalmar FF's first goal in the 83rd minute, with a beautiful assist from Tobias Carlsson. Marcel Silva Sacramento came on for Tobias Eriksson shortly after the goal, and Ricardo Da Silva Dos Santos replaced Abiola Dauda in the 76th minute.
In stoppage time, Ricardo Da Silva Dos Santos scored his first goal of the season, assisted by Daniel Freire Mendes. Andreas Ekberg then blew the whistle, ending the match with a score of 2-0 in favor of Kalmar FF, who now have six points after six rounds in Allsvenskan.
