Gefle IF FF achieved an important victory at home when they faced Halmstads BK at Strömvallen in the Allsvenskan. Already in the first minute, Gefle IF FF took the lead when Jakob Orlov scored after an assist from Jonas Lantto.

Halmstads BK tried to find their way back into the match and made a substitution at halftime, bringing in Mikael Rosén in place of Ivan Diaz Ruiz. However, it wasn't until the 63rd minute that they managed to equalize through Raúl Ruiz Matarin.

But Gefle IF FF would not give up, and in the 73rd minute, they retook the lead when Jakob Orlov scored his second goal of the evening after another assist from Jonas Lantto. Halmstads BK desperately tried to find an equalizer, but Gefle IF FF remained solid and secured three important points.
