BK Häcken showed class right from the start when they took the lead after just nine minutes. Mathias Ranégie scored after a nice pass from Josef Elvby. Trelleborgs FF tried to respond, but it was BK Häcken that demonstrated strength and control in their play.
After 23 minutes, Ranégie extended his goal tally with another goal. This time, it was a fine pass from Björn Anklev that set up Ranégie, who shot accurately into the net.
Trelleborgs FF tried to create chances throughout the match, but it was difficult to break through BK Häcken's strong defense. Dioh Williams and René Makondele Muzola each received a yellow card in the first half for their rough play.
At halftime, Trelleborgs FF substituted both Andreas Wihlborg and Thommie Persson. Marcus Pode and Jonathan Asp came on in an attempt to change the course of the match. And it was indeed Jonathan Asp who made a difference when he set up Joakim Nilsson Ingves, who reduced the score to 1-2.
However, BK Häcken quickly responded when Björn Anklev scored, assisted by John Chibuike. Trelleborgs FF did not give up and tried to fight back, but it was instead BK Häcken that scored their fourth goal with a hat trick from Mathias Ranégie.
BK Häcken controlled the match and ultimately secured a 4-1 victory and three important points. Trelleborgs FF will need to continue working on their game to improve their position in the table.
