BK Häcken turned the match around against Halmstads BK on Tuesday evening in a very entertaining game at Rambergsvallen in front of 2,575 excited spectators. In the 34th minute of the match, it was Halmstads BK that briefly took the lead after a very beautiful and efficient goal by Kujtim Bala, assisted by Marcus Olsson. But the joy lasted only three minutes for the attacking BK Häcken, who equalized in a similar fashion through Josef Elvby, with an assist from Mathias Ranégie, just a few minutes later.
The match continued to swing back and forth, with several hot scoring opportunities. Halmstad's Mikael Rosén and Christian Järdler each received a yellow card before the end of the first half, and after the break, Häcken brought on Björn Anklev and Dioh Williams, which would prove decisive.
After just over an hour of play, Björn Anklev received a yellow card, but it was only four minutes later that Dioh Williams had a really great strike, assisted by Mathias Ranégie, and scored the leading goal for BK Häcken.
With less than twenty minutes left to play, Häcken decided the match again with assists from Williams and Ranégie, who each found the back of the net. Halmstad tried hard, but failed to build up enough attacks to come back. Instead, the team had to settle for two substitutions, where Joe Sise and Ardian Rexhepi came on, while Anel Rashkaj and Kujtim Bala left the pitch.
The winning goal for BK Häcken means they moved up to eighth place in the table, while Halmstad remained at the bottom. It was a well-played match on the Östgötaslätten where the audience witnessed a fine exhibition of high-quality football.
