The match was on a knife-edge, and it was uncertain which team would take home the victory, but in the end, it was Joe Sise who became the match hero for Halmstad by scoring his second goal of the evening, assisted by Michael Görlitz. The final score was 5-4 to Halmstad after a dramatic match that featured many scoring opportunities and quite a few cards.

Referee Johan Hamlin and his assistants, Peter Vesterholm and Peter Allheim, kept their composure amid the numerous events on the pitch and officiated the match in a professional manner.
