GAIS dominated from start to finish and won convincingly 3-0 against Mjällby AIF at Gamla Ullevi. Just two minutes into the match, GAIS took the lead through Wanderson Do Carmo Carneiro, and only seven minutes later, Mervan Celik doubled the lead with an assist from Eric Magloire Bassombeng.

Mjällby tried to find their way back into the match but failed to create any dangerous opportunities. Instead, it was GAIS who continued to apply pressure and created several chances to extend their lead.

At halftime, the score was 2-0 in favor of GAIS, and Mjällby really needed to do something to have a chance of taking points from the match.

The second half continued in the same style as the first, with GAIS being the stronger team. Mjällby attempted to show a bit more attacking intent but couldn't really threaten GAIS's goal.

In the 72nd minute, Mjällby's Mzee Patrick Ooko Osiako received his second yellow card and was sent off. This made it even harder for Mjällby to get back into the match.

GAIS then took advantage of their numerical superiority, and in the 75th minute, Mervan Celik scored his second goal of the day, again assisted by Eric Magloire Bassombeng.

The match ended 3-0 in favor of GAIS, marking a well-deserved victory for the home team. Mjällby needs to find their form again if they want to avoid relegation in this year's Allsvenskan.
