BK Häcken took the lead 1-0 in the 27th minute when René Makondele Muzola easily placed the ball in the goal after a fine play by Johnas Henriksson. But Gefle IF FF responded quickly and equalized just two minutes later through Mikael Dahlberg, assisted by Abdulai Zakaria. Before the half-time break, Gefle's Jens Portin managed to get a warning.
In the second half, several substitutions were made for both teams, and it was BK Häcken who again took the lead in the 73rd minute. Mathias Ranégie was beaten into the ball after a nice pass by a teammate. BK Häcken then made two changes while Gefle IF FF replaced two players in the hope of being able to come back.
And thanks to a nice pass by Jonas Lantto, Gefle IF FF were able to equalize with just minutes left in the match when Daniel Bernhardsson scored easily. The match then ended 2-2 at Strömvallen in front of an audience of 2837 people. The referee Jonas Eriksson was assisted by Stefan Wittberg and Magnus Moberg as assistant referees.
