AIK won 2-0 against Mjällby AIF on Thursday evening at Strandvallen A-plan, in front of an audience of 3,239 spectators. Andreas Ekberg was the main referee and officiated the match well. AIK started the game strongly and immediately put pressure on Mjällby. Mjällby struggled to stop AIK and their offensive play.

In the 38th minute, Mjällby's Mzee Patrick Ooko Osiako received a yellow card for a foul tackle on an AIK player. In the 54th minute, AIK took a 1-0 lead due to an own goal by a Mjällby player.
