AIK won their match against GAIS with a score of 2-1 after a strong performance at home in Råsunda in the Allsvenskan. An audience of almost 10,000 watched as Lalawele Atakora scored the opening goal for AIK in the ninth minute following a nice attack. GAIS tried to get back into the match but AIK held strong defensively and also created several dangerous counter-attacking opportunities.

In the second half, AIK strengthened their position by extending their lead to 2-0 thanks to a nice goal from Gabriel Özkan in the 63rd minute. GAIS struggled to reduce the deficit and got a consolation goal through Mervan Celik in the 83rd minute. GAIS attempted to press harder for an equalizer, but AIK's defense, along with a strong performance from the goalkeeper, held firm, and the final score was 2-1 in favor of AIK.

Referee Daniel Stålhammar generally had a good match and acted well in keeping the game flowing and penalizing unnecessary fouls. Stefan Wittberg and Mathias Klasenius also did a good job as assistant referees. AIK is now in fourth place in the table, with GAIS in ninth place.
