Mjällby AIF faced Halmstads BK at Strandvallen A-plan in a match that turned out to be easy for the home team. The match started with an early warning for Mjällby’s Tobias Grahn after a tough tackle. Just two minutes later, Mjällby took the lead with a goal from Marcus Ekenberg, assisted by David Löfquist. Halmstad tried to find their way back into the match, but Mjällby’s defense held strong and kept Halmstad at bay. After 22 minutes of play, Mjällby managed to extend their lead with a second goal, again assisted by David Löfquist, this time with Pavel Zavadil providing the assist.

In the second half, Halmstad's Anel Rashkaj was substituted for Mikael Rosén in hopes of injecting some energy into the team, but the substitution made little difference. Liridon Selmani also got a chance when he was brought in for Marcus Antonsson. Mjällby’s coach also opted to make some substitutions to keep the team fresh. Pär Eriksson was substituted in for Erton Fejzullahu, and later Pavel Zavadil was replaced by Daniel Nicklasson. Halmstad desperately tried to get a goal towards the end and brought in Ardian Rexhepi for Joel Anell, but Mjällby held firm, and the match ended 2-0 in favor of Mjällby AIF.

The match was a fitting conclusion to the season, and despite being the higher-placed team, Mjällby AIF, Halmstad was not without chances and gave the goalkeeper plenty to do. But in the end, it was Mjällby’s day, and they could leave the field with a well-deserved victory and a tenth-place finish in the table. Halmstad will go home as the bottom team but can still be satisfied with the fight they put up during the season.
