Helsingborgs IF won Sunday evening's match at Olympia against IF Elfsborg with a score of 2-1 after a dramatic second half. Helsingborg took the lead after just 15 minutes of play when Alfred Finnbogason scored. Elfsborg fought hard but couldn't find their rhythm going forward to equalize. Instead, it was Niklas Hult who managed to score for the guests 40 minutes into the match, leveling the score.

Anders Svensson received a yellow card early in the second half and was unable to contain his frustration, which resulted in a red card after receiving two more yellow cards during stoppage time.

Helsingborg's second goal came in the 77th minute when Finnbogason scored his second goal of the evening following a nice assist from Mattias Lindström. IF Elfsborg fought until the end, but HIF managed to hold on and secure three points at home at Olympia.
