AIK and IFK Göteborg met at Råsunda in Stockholm on Thursday evening. In front of a crowd of 15,702 spectators, it was AIK that started strongest and created several dangerous goal-scoring opportunities during the first 20 minutes of the match.

In the 14th minute, AIK's Nils-Eric Johansson received a yellow card after a tough tackle on an opponent. IFK Göteborg gradually managed to break free from AIK's grip and began to create their own goal-scoring chances.

In the 33rd minute, IFK Göteborg's Philip Haglund earned a yellow card after fouling an opponent in AIK's half of the field. AIK tried to apply pressure on IFK Göteborg, but it was IFK Göteborg that would have the last word in the first half.

AIK made two substitutions in the second half by bringing on Pontus Engblom and Gabriel Özkan. This paid off when Engblom, who came on in the 64th minute, scored the first goal of the match in the 68th minute. The assist was provided by Lalawele Atakora.

IFK Göteborg finally managed to equalize in the 93rd minute through Hjálmar Jónsson. The final score was thus 1-1 after a closely contested match in which both teams had several chances to score more goals.
