Malmö FF won against Djurgården 2-3 in a tough match played at Stockholms Stadion 1. The match started at 19:05 on Monday evening in front of a crowd of 9582 people and the referee was Martin Hansson with assistants Daniel Wärnmark and Peter Allheim.
Malmö FF opened the scoring after 13 minutes when Wilton Figueiredo put the ball in the net with an assist from Jiloan Mohamed Hamad. After just over half an hour, Malmö FF increased their lead to 0-2 when Hamad put the ball in the net himself with an assist from Simon Thern.
However, Djurgården came back strongly in the second half and reduced to 1-2 after an hour of play when James Keene scored with an assist from Ricardo Da Silva Dos Santos. Shortly after, Djurgården made a change and substituted Christer Youssef for Dos Santos.
After 64 minutes Djurgården managed to equalize when Kasper Woldemar Hämäläinen put the ball in the goal with an assist from Marc Pedersen. Malmö FF then responded with two changes, in with Ivo Dominik Pekalski and Daniel Larsson, out with Erik Friberg and Wilton Figueiredo.
Djurgården also made changes, bringing on Nahir Oyal and Philip Hellqvist, with Sebastian Rajalakso and James Keene coming off. But it was Malmö FF who kept their nerves in check and were able to decide the match at the end of the second half when Mathias Ranégie put the ball in the net with an assist from Jiloan Mohamed Hamad.
Malmö FF eventually won 2-3 and Ranégie also received a caution in the final minutes. Yussif Alhassan Chibsah also received a caution for Djurgården. After the match, Djurgården was in 11th place in the table while Malmö FF was in 6th place.
