A real goal fest unfolded at Strandvallen A-plan as Mjällby AIF hosted Djurgården in a match that ended 4-3 in favor of the home team.
Mjällby AIF started strong and took the lead after just ten minutes with a powerful shot from Pär Eriksson. Marcus Ekenberg then extended the lead to 2-0 shortly before the half-hour mark, and just ten minutes later, Eriksson scored his second goal of the match, assisted by Robin Cederberg.
Djurgården seemed to lose hope when Dominique Kivuvu made it 4-0 for Mjällby just a minute later. However, especially after James Keene's goal for Djurgården shortly before halftime, the visiting team came to life.
After the halftime break, where Djurgården substituted Martin Broberg in for Peter Nymann Mikkelsen, the guests continued to fight their way back into the match. Joona Toivio's volley goal following a Tim Sparv corner ignited further hope, and the guests kept creating several dangerous chances.
Mjällby brought in Erton Fejzullahu in an attempt to regain control of the match, but Djurgården continued to press on, and it wasn't long before Kasper Woldemar Hämäläinen reduced the score to 4-3. Despite several dangerous chances for Djurgården towards the end, the team was unable to equalize, and Mjällby AIF could breathe a sigh of relief and celebrate a much-needed victory.
