Malmö FF and AIK faced off at Swedbank Stadion in front of an impressive crowd of 14,583 spectators. Referee Martin Hansson took charge of the match, assisted by linesmen Fredrik Nilsson and Magnus Sjöblom. Malmö FF made it clear from the outset that they were serious about this match, and it didn't take long before they took the lead. In the 15th minute, Wilton Figueiredo scored the goal after an assist from Daniel Larsson. AIK attempted to get back into the game, but Malmö FF stood in their way.

In the 29th minute, Malmö FF doubled their lead through Jimmy Durmaz after an assist from Jiloan Mohamed Hamad. Just a few minutes later, Durmaz scored yet again, and Malmö FF was now leading 3-0. AIK desperately tried to find a way back into the match, but Malmö FF had full control of the game, and their defense held firm.

Before halftime, Malmö FF managed to score another goal thanks to Wilton Figueiredo, and the lead was now 4-0. AIK had to do something drastic, and they made two substitutions at halftime. Helgi Valur Danielsson and Lalawele Atakora came on while Martin Kayongo-Mutumba and Daniel Gustafsson left the field.

Malmö FF continued to push forward in the second half, and in the 57th minute, they made their first substitution as Jasmin Sudic came on for Daniel Andersson. Simon Thern also came on for Figueiredo in the 60th minute. Durmaz left the field in the 75th minute and was replaced by Ulrich Vinzents.

AIK made their final substitution in the 88th minute when Alhassan A Haestad Kamara came on for Robin Quaison. When the final whistle blew after 90 minutes, Malmö FF had won convincingly with a score of 4-0. It was a fully deserved victory, showing that they have what it takes to win. AIK had a tough evening, and now they must focus on bouncing back from this defeat.
