In Sunday evening's match at Råsunda, AIK and Kalmar FF faced off in an exciting game that ended with an away victory for Kalmar.
The match started evenly as both teams created chances, but it was Kalmar who took the lead in the 29th minute through Paulus Verneri Arajuuri, who received the ball from a corner and headed it into the net. The assist came from Jörgen Skjelvik.
At halftime, Kalmar made their first substitution, bringing on Abiola Dauda for Jonathan McDonald Porras. This substitution proved to be successful as Dauda scored immediately in the 47th minute, with Erik Israelsson providing the assist.
AIK tried to fight back, substituting in Martin Kayongo-Mutumba and Kwame Amponsah Karikari in the 58th minute for Daniel Gustafsson and Viktor Lundberg. However, it was Kalmar who continued to create chances, and Sebastian Andersson received a yellow card in the 75th minute.
AIK finally managed to score a consolation goal in the 80th minute when Kwame Amponsah Karikari headed the ball in after a fine pass from Daniel Tjernström.
Kalmar brought on Kristoffer Fagercrantz for Tobias Eriksson in the 85th minute and Nenad Djordjevic for Papa Alioune Diouf in the 89th minute.
The match was not without incidents, as both Kalmar FF's Etrit Berisha and AIK's Alhassan A Haestad Kamara received yellow cards. Kamara received his in the 90th minute, which resulted in a red card as it was his second yellow of the match.
The match ultimately ended 1-2 in favor of Kalmar FF, who took all three points back home to Småland. Referee Michael Lerjéus was assisted by Mathias Klasenius and Per Brogevik. The attendance at Råsunda was 9,905 spectators.
