A fantastic Sunday afternoon for Kalmar FF as they defeated IFK Göteborg 3-0 at Guldfågeln Arena.
The match started evenly, with both teams trying to gain an early advantage. However, it wasn't until the 27th minute that Kalmar FF took the lead. Abiola Dauda struck and put the ball in the net with an assist from Daniel Freire Mendes.
The second half began with Kalmar FF substituting Papa Alioune Diouf in place of Daniel Freire Mendes. The new addition played a significant role as he helped Erik Israelsson find Dauda, who scored his second goal. Shortly thereafter, Dauda was substituted in favor of Jonathan Mc Donald Porras.
IFK Göteborg tried to take more control of the game by bringing in Hjörtur Logi Valgardsson and David Moberg Karlsson for Mikael Dyrestam and Nordin Gerzic, but it wasn't enough.
Kalmar FF's Ludvig Öhman Silwerfeldt received a yellow card in the 79th minute after stopping a dangerous attack from IFK Göteborg. At that point, IFK Göteborg also made their second substitution, replacing Stefan Selakovic with Joel Allanson.
IFK Göteborg's Kjetil Waehler was cautioned in the 83rd minute before Kalmar FF nailed the final coffin. Jonathan Mc Donald Porras scored Kalmar FF's third goal in stoppage time with assistance from Måns Söderqvist.
At the end of the match, Kalmar FF could happily celebrate their three points, while IFK Göteborg left empty-handed. Overall, it was a well-played match from both teams, but Kalmar FF showed better quality and deservedly won on home soil.
