On Sunday evening, GAIS and IF Elfsborg faced off at Gamla Ullevi in an exciting match in Allsvenskan. Despite an early yellow card for GAIS player Jeffrey Aubynn, both teams managed to keep a clean sheet until halftime.

However, it was IF Elfsborg who took the lead after the first half. Following a nice pass from Andréas Klarström, Oscar Hiljemark was able to seize the ball and put it behind the GAIS goalkeeper.

After halftime, it became a tough battle for the ball, but it was GAIS who would score an equalizer. Erik Berg received the ball from August Gustafsson Lohaprasert and managed to slot it past the IF Elfsborg goalkeeper.

Despite several substitutions and cards on both sides, the match could have ended in a draw, but after a red card for GAIS's Mirza Mujcic, IF Elfsborg got a chance in stoppage time. Simon Hedlund sent a nice pass to Oscar Hiljemark, who scored the match's second goal and secured victory for IF Elfsborg.

GAIS is now at the bottom of the table, while IF Elfsborg continues to lead the league.
