Today's match between GAIS and Helsingborgs IF at Gamla Ullevi started quite heatedly with an early yellow card for Helsingborg's Christoffer Andersson in the 5th minute. After that, the play became very even, and both teams showed off a couple of nice attacks, though neither team managed to put the ball in the net.

At halftime, Helsingborg led 0-0 but still substituted Thomas Braathen Sørum for Alvaro Santos. The second half started with a yellow card for Helsingborg's Nikola Djurdjic in the 46th minute, and GAIS's Reuben Ayarna also received a yellow card in the 53rd minute.

However, despite GAIS's persistent attempts to take the lead, it was Helsingborg who would score the first goal. After 64 minutes of play, Jesper Björkman struck and put the ball in the net behind GAIS's goalkeeper. GAIS then tried to get back into the match and brought on August Gustafsson Lohaprasert for Linus Tornblad in the 66th minute.

But it was Helsingborg who would score next. Rachid Bouaouzan found the net in the 75th minute after receiving a nice assist from May Mahlangu. GAIS once again attempted to change a player to find some new energy, but it didn’t help, and Helsingborg continued to dominate. In the 78th minute, Nikola Djurdjic scored his second goal of the day after receiving an assist from Alejandro Bedoya.

Helsingborg continued to apply high pressure to GAIS's defense, and in the 79th minute, they substituted Bedoya to bring in Mattias Lindström. GAIS brought in Jakob Olsson to at least score a goal, and they succeeded in doing so. In the first added minute, Olsson managed to send the ball past Helsingborg's goalkeeper and put his team on the scoreboard.

When the referee blew the final whistle, the score stood at 1-3 in Helsingborg's favor, allowing them to head home with three points in hand. GAIS, on the other hand, would return home empty-handed after a tough loss in front of their home crowd at Gamla Ullevi.
