Malmö FF visited Kopparvallen on Friday evening to face Åtvidabergs FF in Allsvenskan. While Åtvidabergs FF was in 13th place and struggling to earn points, Malmö FF was in 10th place and needed a victory to get closer to the top of the table.
The match started with an even beginning with chances for both teams. However, it was Malmö FF that took the lead in the 38th minute when Magnus Eriksson skillfully received the ball from Simon Thern and put it in the net. Åtvidabergs FF tried to find an equally beautiful scoring opportunity, but their play didn't quite go as planned.

Åtvidabergs FF tried to turn the match again, but Malmö FF continued their offensive playing style and extended their lead with another goal from Erik Friberg in the 67th minute, who received a great pass from Jiloan Mohamed Hamad and finished it into the goal. With three goals to their name, Malmö FF had won the match.
Some substitutions by both teams’ coaches attempted to change the direction of the match, but it ended with Malmö FF remaining strong in attack while Åtvidabergs FF failed to create any real scoring chances. The match concluded with a loss for Åtvidabergs FF and a 3-1 victory for Malmö FF.
