It was a match where AIK took the lead just eight minutes in with a beautiful pass from Celso Borges Mora to Nabil Bahoui, who sent the ball into the net. However, the home team Östers IF quickly responded with a goal from Kenny Pavey after a nice assist from Darijan Bojanic in the tenth minute. AIK regained the lead in the 33rd minute when Martin Lorentzson scored after another assist from Bahoui. The second half seemed to belong to AIK, who increased their lead to 3-1 after a goal from Chibuike Kennedy Igboananike in the 57th minute. The home team, however, fought hard and managed to reduce the deficit in the 62nd minute when Pablo Piñones-Arce shot the ball into the net after a fine attack by Östers IF, assisted by Pavey. Despite several substitutions and attempts from both teams to increase their scores, the match ended 3-2 in favor of AIK. The audience at Visma Arena in Växjö truly witnessed an exciting encounter between two of Allsvenskan's leading teams, who fought hard right up until the final whistle.
