It was a chilly Wednesday evening at Strömvallen when Gefle IF FF hosted IFK Göteborg in an Allsvenskan match in front of 4,067 spectators. Gefle, sitting in 13th place in the table, faced a tough challenge against second-placed IFK Göteborg.

The first half was an even contest where both teams had their chances. However, it was IFK Göteborg that took the lead in the 31st minute when David Moberg Karlsson found the net after a nice assist from Jakob Olsson Johansson.
