IF Elfsborg overwhelmingly defeated IF Brommapojkarna with a score of six goals to nil in their recent Allsvenskan match held last Thursday evening at the Borås Arena. A crowd of 7,661 spectators witnessed the match, officiated by Andreas Ekberg, with Mehmet Culum and Stefan Hallberg as his assistants.
Elfsborg dominated from the very start of the match. Johan Larsson scored the opening goal for Elfsborg at the 25-minute mark, assisted by Stefan Ishizaki, giving them a one-goal lead. Mohamed Bangura then scored two quick goals at 27 and 42 minutes, with assists from Henning Hauger and Marcus Rohdén, respectively, increasing their advantage to three goals.
Brommapojkarna tried to change their fortunes by substituting Andreas Eriksson with Filip Tronét at the 45-minute mark. However, this did not alter Elfsborg's momentum. At 63 minutes, Tom Söderberg scored their fourth goal, assisted by Stefan Ishizaki, followed by Henning Hauger’s goal at 66 minutes, assisted by Viktor Claesson, extending Elfsborg's lead to five goals.
Elfsborg then replaced Mohamed Bangura with James Keene at the 68-minute mark, while Viktor Claesson took Marcus Rohdén's place at the 60-minute mark. Pontus Åsbrink of Brommapojkarna received a yellow card at 80 minutes. Any hopes of a comeback were dashed when Elfsborg's Lars Nilsson scored their sixth and final goal at 87 minutes, assisted by Niklas Hult, sealing their victory at 6-0.
