BK Häcken surprised Malmö FF at Swedbank Stadion with a strong 3-1 victory, earning three important points in the Allsvenskan. The visitors opened the scoring in the 9th minute through René Makondele Muzola, who received a nice assist from Mostapha El Kabir. Just eleven minutes later, El Kabir himself raised the score to 2-0 with a fine combination play with Björn Anklev.
Malmö FF attempted a comeback and pressed for an attack, and in the 35th minute, they were rewarded when Emil Forsberg found the net after a great pass from Erik Berg. However, the home team’s joy was short-lived, as BK Häcken, in the second minute of stoppage time in the first half, again extended their lead to two goals through Makondele Muzola, who this time received an assist from El Kabir.
The second half offered more excitement but no more goals. Malmö FF tried several attacks but could not penetrate BK Häcken's tough defense. The home team also received two yellow cards, one to Tokelo Rantie and another to captain Emil Forsberg.
BK Häcken substituted three players during the match and maintained a strong defense while their attacking line managed to score three goals from their few chances. Malmö FF's substitution of Magnus Eriksson in the 11th minute did not make a significant difference, and it was BK Häcken who took a surprising but much-needed away victory.
