It was an afternoon that did not go Syrianska FC's way as they faced IF Elfsborg at Borås Arena in Allsvenskan on Sunday. The home team dominated the match and won convincingly 5-1 in front of a crowd of 7,001.

The match started evenly, but after half an hour, the home team took control. In the 63rd minute, Mohamed Bangura scored the opening goal for Elfsborg, and just a few minutes later James Keene made it 2-0 after a nice pass from Bangura.

Syrianska tried to apply pressure on the home team but struggled to get into the match. However, in the 72nd minute, they managed to reduce the deficit with a goal from Osman Sow, following a fine pass from Dinko Felic.

But Elfsborg did not want to give away any points, and just a few minutes later, Syrianska scored an own goal that increased Elfsborg's lead to 3-1. Bangura continued to be involved in the game, creating several dangerous situations at the opponent's goal, which resulted in his substitution with David Elm in the 77th minute.

In the 87th minute, Johan Larsson scored the fourth goal for Elfsborg after a nice pass from Marcus Rohdén. In the closing moments of the match, Viktor Claesson sealed the deal for Syrianska by making it 5-1 after a fine assist from Stefan Ishizaki.

With this victory, Elfsborg strengthens its position at the top of the table, while Syrianska continues to struggle at the bottom. The match was officiated by Mohammed Al-Hakim, with assistant referees Per Brogevik and Peter Allheim.
