Attendance: 14,413

In Monday night's match in the Allsvenskan between Helsingborgs IF and IFK Göteborg at Olympia, both teams made a strong start in front of a large home crowd of 14,413 people. However, it didn't take long before the first yellow card was issued, given to IFK Göteborg's Philip Haglund in the 14th minute.

A couple of minutes later, Helsingborgs IF’s Mattias Lindström followed with a warning. Ardian Gashi also received a yellow card later in the first half.

However, it was IFK Göteborg who would take the lead before the end of the half. Robin Söder scored a beautiful goal in the 42nd minute with an assist from Tobias Hysén. It was a much-needed lead for the visiting team, who had been struggling to gain control of the match.

The second half began with yet another warning to IFK Göteborg, this time to Adam Johansson. Philip Haglund later received his second yellow card and was thus sent off from the match. It was a tough task for Göteborg to continue with one player less on the field.

Helsingborgs IF managed to equalize in the 71st minute through Robin Simovic with an assist from Alvaro Santos, which gave the home fans a much-needed goal to boost their confidence.

The match remained even with both teams fighting to score another goal, but it ended in a draw 1-1. IFK Göteborg did a good job dealing with being one player short against a strong Helsingborgs IF, but it was not enough to win the match.

Referee Stefan Johannesson and his assistant referees Stefan Wittberg and Magnus Sjöblom performed satisfactorily by keeping an eye on the game, issuing the correct warnings, and minimizing contact with the players.
