It was a battle between two teams at the bottom of the table as Syrianska FC faced AIK at Södertälje Football Arena. Just eleven minutes into the match, Besim Kunic of Syrianska FC was cautioned for a tackle. Shortly after, the home team was shocked when AIK's Chibuike Kennedy Igboananike scored the first goal of the match.
AIK continued to control the game, and Per Karlsson received a yellow card for a tough tackle in the 22nd minute. Syrianska FC attempted to claw their way back into the match, but Sebastian Cann-Svärd also received a yellow card for a hard tackle just before halftime.
In the second half, the home team worked hard to narrow AIK's lead, but Igboananike dashed all their hopes by scoring his second goal of the match in the 49th minute, assisted by Henok Goitom.
In the 71st minute, the match became even tougher for AIK when Alexander Milošević received a red card. Syrianska FC brought in Charbel Georges in hopes of finding a goal, but AIK continued to dominate.
AIK made two substitutions almost simultaneously with Robert Åhman Persson and Niklas Backman coming on in the 76th minute. In the same minute, Syrianska FC also substituted Robert Massi, taking off Sebastian Cann-Svärd.
Despite AIK's dominance, Syrianska FC managed to score a late goal in the 88th minute through Dinko Felic, assisted by Alessandro Silva Pereira, making the match a bit more exciting. However, in the end, AIK managed to maintain their lead and won 2-1. This marked their first away victory of the season in the Allsvenskan.
