Örjans Vall was filled with eager soccer fans as Halmstads BK faced off against Syrianska FC in a match that would prove to be a real thriller. After a quick red card for both sides, issued to Ivan Ristic and physiotherapist Simon Bakkioui, Syrianska FC took an early lead when Sebastian Rajalakso sprinted past the HBK defense and scored in the eleventh minute.
Both teams displayed a tough playing style, and several bookings were handed out. However, despite numerous dangerous scoring chances from both sides, the score remained 1-0 to Syrianska FC at halftime. In the second half, the game continued at a high tempo with few mistakes. HBK substituted Kristoffer Fagercrantz in the 62nd minute, adding more power to their attack. But it was Marcus Antonsson who would become the match hero for Halmstads BK as he scored a beautiful free kick in the 79th minute.
The match ended in a 1-1 draw at Örjans Vall in front of 3,971 spectators. Both teams earned a point each, keeping the Allsvenskan table tightly contested. Referee Tobias Mattsson and his assistant referees Joakim Flink and Stefan Hallberg did a great job and kept the game under control. A fantastic match with plenty of action and excitement – just as it should be in the Allsvenskan!
