Mjällby AIF and Helsingborgs IF faced off at Strandvallen A-plan in an exciting Allsvenskan match on Monday evening in front of a crowd of 5,037 people. Andreas Ekberg was the referee, assisted by Stefan Hallberg and Daniel Ekman.

Right from the first minute, Mjällby AIF applied pressure, and it didn’t take long before number 18, Pär Eriksson, scored, putting Mjällby in the lead 1-0. After 12 minutes, Helsingborgs' number 11, Arnór Smárason, received a yellow card, and 14 minutes into the match, Mjällby’s number 12, Viktor Agardius, also received a yellow card.

Marcus Ekenberg from Mjällby also received a yellow card after 24 minutes, but that didn’t stop Mjällby from scoring again through Pär Eriksson, who made it 2-0 after 35 minutes.

Helsingborgs did not give up and fought to catch up. David Accam scored for Helsingborgs, assisted by Imad Khalili in the 56th minute, making it 2-1. However, Mjällby responded, and number 4, Daniel Ivanovski, scored for Mjällby in the 62nd minute, extending the lead to 3-1.

Helsingborgs made two substitutions, with Alvaro Santos and Erlend Hanstveit replacing Robin Simovic and Arnór Smárason in the 65th minute. Jesper Gustavsson replaced Andreas Blomqvist for Mjällby in the 87th minute, and 80 minutes into the match, Robin Strömberg from Mjällby also received a yellow card.

In the 75th minute, David Accam from Helsingborgs was sent off. With one player fewer, it became more difficult for Helsingborgs to come back, but Alvaro Santos still managed to score in the 90th minute, and Peter Larsson further reduced the gap by scoring in the final extra time minute. The match ended with Mjällby AIF as the winners, 4-3.
