AIK won a tough match against Östers IF at the National Arena on Monday evening. In front of an audience of 9,388 and under the supervision of referee Tobias Mattsson, AIK took the lead through Chibuike Kennedy Igboananike, assisted by Martin Kayongo-Mutumba, in the 25th minute. Martin Lorentzson received a yellow card for AIK in the 29th minute.

But Östers did not give up and managed to equalize in the 44th minute through Alhaji Gero. Månz Berg received a yellow card for Östers IF in the 56th minute and Alhaji Gero also received a yellow card in the 71st minute. AIK responded by scoring their second goal in the 74th minute through Robin Quaison.

Östers IF desperately tried to get back into the match. However, with their strong defense and by substituting Christian Kouakou in the 66th minute, AIK managed to hold off and won the match 2-1. Östers IF also received a yellow card in the 90th minute through Kenny Pavey. With this victory, AIK is now in 4th place in the table while Östers IF is in 14th place.
