It was a sometimes dramatic match at the National Arena as AIK hosted IFK Göteborg on Monday evening. Despite an impressive crowd of 30,650 spectators and with Stefan Johannesson as the main referee, it was the visiting team that came out on top, winning 2-0.

The match started at a high tempo and was evenly matched during the first 10-15 minutes, but it was IFK Göteborg that managed to take the lead in the 14th minute. Lasse Vibe scored the goal after a nice pass from Adam Johansson, and AIK failed to respond.

AIK tried to apply pressure and created several dangerous chances, but the visiting team's defense held firm, and goalkeeper Johannes Hopf was in good form. Instead, it was IFK Göteborg that extended their lead in the 86th minute through Malick Mané, who received a nice pass from Philip Haglund.

The match took a turn in the 57th minute when AIK's Per Karlsson received his second yellow card and was sent off. Despite the home team continuing to fight and bring on substitutes, they could not catch up with IFK Göteborg, who held on and won the match 2-0.

After the match, AIK is in 14th place in the standings, while IFK Göteborg climbed to 3rd place. AIK will now need to focus on finding their form again to rise in the rankings, while IFK Göteborg can continue their pursuit of a higher position.
