Malmö FF showed no mercy against IFK Göteborg in tonight’s match at Gamla Ullevi. Just eight minutes into the game, Guillermo Federico Molins Palmeiro scored 1-0 for Malmö FF, assisted by Miiko Albornoz. Göteborg tried to create some chances going forward, but Malmö FF was closer to a second goal, which came in the 28th minute when Molins Palmeiro found the net again, assisted by Markus Rosenberg.
The Göteborg bench wanted a penalty after a situation involving Sam Larsson, but the referee Michael Lerjéus decided to only issue a yellow card for diving.
The second half continued in the same style, and after just over an hour of play, Malmö FF substituted Emil Forsberg in for Erdal Rakip. Göteborg tried to inject some fresh blood with two substitutions, but it yielded no results. Instead, it was Markus Halsti from Malmö FF who received a yellow card for a tough tackle.
Malmö FF substituted Molins Palmeiro, and Rosenberg received applause from the traveling supporters as he also left the field, replaced by Erik Berg. Gustav Svensson from Göteborg received a yellow card, and in the 82nd minute, Rosenberg hammered the final nail in the coffin by making it 3-0, this time assisted by Magnus Eriksson.
Malmö FF had full control of the match and ultimately won 3-0. A really heavy defeat for IFK Göteborg in front of their home fans at Gamla Ullevi.
