Malmö FF faced BK Häcken at Swedbank Stadion in front of an audience of over 10,000 people. The match started with a high tempo, and just three minutes in, BK Häcken scored through Mostapha El Kabir. Only four minutes later, Häcken doubled their lead with another goal from the same player, assisted by Björn Anklev.

Malmö FF tried to catch up for the rest of the first half, but without success. Instead, it was BK Häcken that created the dangerous chances, and Walid Atta received a yellow card for a tough tackle.

The second half began similarly to the first, but this time it was Malmö FF that dominated much of the play. Pontus Jansson received a yellow card early in the half, and just a few minutes later, he was shown a red card for a harsh tackle.

However, Malmö FF would not give up and kept attacking. After 67 minutes, the home team finally scored when Markus Halsti headed in a ball assisted by Miiko Albornoz.

BK Häcken tried to respond but had a player sent off after 66 minutes when Walid Atta received his second yellow card. Malmö FF continued to press for an equalizer but were unable to find another goal.

The match ultimately ended 1-2 in favor of BK Häcken, which is now in fourth place in Allsvenskan. Malmö FF, on the other hand, will have to regroup after this home defeat.
