It was an exciting match at Swedbank Stadion when the league leaders Malmö FF faced AIK. The match started with tough play from both teams, and after 14 minutes, AIK's Alexander Milošević received a yellow card. Four minutes later, Robin Quaison also received a yellow card.
In the 39th minute, AIK made their first substitution when Kenny Pavey came on for Alexander Milošević. Shortly after, Nils-Eric Johansson received a yellow card as well. However, it would not be until just before the end of the first half that AIK took the lead. Robin Quaison provided the assist as Eero Markkanen scored to make it 1-0.

Following the goal, AIK made their second substitution with Chibuike Kennedy Igboananike coming on for Henok Goitom.
But Malmö FF was not about to give up, and in the 63rd minute, Guillermo Federico Molins Palmeiro reduced the deficit to 1-2 after a nice assist from Markus Halsti. Shortly thereafter, Pontus Jansson received a yellow card for the home team, and Henok Goitom was cautioned for AIK.
In the 78th minute, Malmö FF made their first substitution, bringing on Pawel Cibicki for Matias Concha. However, it was not until the 90th minute that the match would reach its dramatic conclusion. Pawel Cibicki, who had come on just eight minutes earlier, scored to make it 2-2 in the last seconds of the match, saving a point for Malmö FF.
The match ended 2-2, allowing Malmö FF to maintain their lead in the league while AIK remained in 5th place in the standings. Referee Stefan Johannesson and his assistant referees Joakim Flink and Stefan Hallberg managed to keep control of the match despite several yellow cards and tough play from both teams.
