Örebro took an early lead in the match with a beautiful header from Marcus Pode, assisted by Mohammed Khalid Saeid. Just a minute later, Alhaji Kamara received a yellow card for IFK Norrköping FK. Örebro's advantage continued when Robert Åhman Persson scored with a header, assisted by Christoffer Wiktorsson in the 29th minute.

But Norrköping did not give up and reduced the deficit through Christoffer Nyman with a penalty in the 45th minute. However, Nyman received a yellow card in the 54th minute.
