Malmö FF did their best to maintain their first place against Åtvidabergs FF at Swedbank Stadion in Allsvenskan on Saturday. The crowd of 9,336 was eager as the match began. Stefan Johannesson and his assistant referees Daniel Ekman and Joakim Amri Nilsson were ready to officiate the match.

Malmö FF came in strong and quickly took the lead after just 14 minutes of play, thanks to Emil Forsberg who capitalized on an assist from Markus Rosenberg. Forsberg would prove to be a key player for Malmö FF and continued to apply pressure on Åtvidaberg's goal.

After 28 minutes, Forsberg extended the lead and scored his second goal of the day, this time with help from an assist by Erdal Rakip. Filip Helander was substituted for Johan Hammar a few minutes later as Malmö FF continued their offensive with more attacks.

Åtvidabergs FF struggled to get back into the match but could not find the right approach in their attacks. They tried to make a cautious change by substituting Victor Sköld for Martin Christensen in the 36th minute, but nothing could stop Malmö FF in their progression.

Immediately after the break, Emil Forsberg scored his third goal, completing his hat trick in the 48th minute. Åtvidaberg attempted to inject new energy by bringing in Emmanuel Dogbe for Imad Zatara in the 55th minute, but Malmö FF maintained control of the match.

Åtvidabergs FF made a couple of late substitutions with Allan Olesen replacing Månz Berg in the 67th minute, but Malmö FF's defense held firm and protected their goal.

In the 83rd minute, it was Forsberg's turn to leave the pitch to make way for Piotr Johansson, who got the chance to show what he could do. However, without Forsberg's goal-scoring ability, Malmö FF lost some of their offensive strength, and the match ended 3-0 to the home team. With this result, Malmö FF could be pleased to still lead the table in Allsvenskan.
