In a packed Friends Arena, AIK faced Falkenbergs FF in a match that would prove to be important for both teams. It took until the 26th minute for AIK to score the first goal. It was Martin Lorentzson who found the back of the net after a header from Nils-Eric Johansson. Falkenbergs FF fought hard to come back, but it was AIK who would emerge as the winners by the end of the match.

AIK made several substitutions and pressed Falkenberg right into the final minutes. In the 90th minute, AIK created one last genuine goal-scoring opportunity after a fine pass from Nabil Bahoui, which Ibrahim Moro capitalized on to score AIK’s third goal.
