Helsingborgs IF turned the game around and won against Mjällby AIF at Strandvallen A-plan in a match between two mid-table teams in the Allsvenskan. The home team, Mjällby, started the match strong and took the lead after 24 minutes with Christian Wilhelmsson's goal after a fine pass from Andreas Blomqvist. The Helsingborg players tried to put pressure on Mjällby, but they failed in the first half. Just before halftime, the equalizer came as David Accam delivered a nice cross to Markus Holgersson, who then redirected it to Accam, who finished it off and scored. In the second half, the match opened up more and Helsingborg increased the tempo. After Emil Krafth sent a well-placed pass to David Accam, he once again found the net and scored. Mjällby attempted to get back into the game and made several substitutions, but Helsingborg's defense held firm and thwarted all of Mjällby's attempts to create goal-scoring opportunities. The final score was 1-2 in favor of the visiting Helsingborgs IF, who moved past Mjällby in the table and took home three points.
