Helsingborgs IF and AIK faced each other on Monday evening in Allsvenskan at Olympia in Helsingborg in front of an audience of 6,847 people. Referee Markus Strömbergsson officiated the match, assisted by Daniel Ekman and Joakim Amri Nilsson.

The match became more physical, and both teams received a yellow card. Helsingborgs IF made two substitutions, replacing Mattias Lindström and Christoffer Andersson with Arnór Smárason and Alvaro Santos. AIK substituted Kenny Pavey, Martin Lorentzson, and Sam Lundholm to provide opportunities for Chibuike Kennedy Igboananike, Sauli Väisänen, and Niclas Eliasson.
